    List of features

Pocket Mindmap is an ingenious program and quite useful. I would love to see following enhancements in future versions:

    1. Ability to assign custom symbol (e.g. icons/bitmaps that are installed either by Pocket Informant icon pack or other icons/bitmaps).

    2. Checkboxes next to each item in the outline view. These checkboxes doesn't necesserily be connected to Outlook Tasks. Just the ability to check the items and treating it as a list like grocery list etc. Sometimes i don't want the item to be treated as an outlook task and yet be able to check or uncheck it. Currently I use symbols for this purpose which acts more as a flag than a checkbox.

    3. Ability to select multiple items atleast in outline view so that:

3.1 Properties of multiple items can be modified e.g. assigning symbol to multiple items at the same time.

3.2 Ability to move items from one heirarchy to another.

    4. Although XHTML text view is nice but not very user friendly. Maybe add B, I, U, Color toolbar there so text can be made bold, italicized etc.

    5. It might be too much to ask but sky is the limit so it would be great if in scribble mode there was an auto shape correct feature (e.g. straight lines, rectangles, elipses etc like PhatPad) and ability to add simple typed text and symbols in the scribble.

    6. In map view it would be nice if there is option for collapsing or uncollapsing each node (+ sign against each node that would expand it).

If these features were made available in pocket mindmap then it would become very versatile program with features of ListPro and PhatPad.

Thumbs up for the Pocket Mindmap team! Keep up the good work.

    Re: List of features

    Hello,

Thank you very much for your feedback. Please find some comments below:

    1. Ability to assign custom symbol (e.g. icons/bitmaps that are installed either by Pocket Informant icon pack or other icons/bitmaps).

will be added in the next version.

Tasks in Pocket Mindmap are not automatically tasks in Pocket Outlook and they don't have to be. But I admit that it needs too many taps to check / uncheck a task due to the percentage done feature. I will add this request to our todo list and we will discuss internally how to simplify this.

    3. Ability to select multiple items atleast in outline view so that:

3.1 Properties of multiple items can be modified e.g. assigning symbol to multiple items at the same time.

3.2 Ability to move items from one heirarchy to another.

This is already planned for one of the next versions.

    4. Although XHTML text view is nice but not very user friendly. Maybe add B, I, U, Color toolbar there so text can be made bold, italicized etc.

The problem with the rich text control available on the Pocket PC is that is limited when it comes to tables and pictures. We need these features for the compatibility with MindManager Mindmaps. But we will think about a way out.

    5. It might be too much to ask but sky is the limit so it would be great if in scribble mode there was an auto shape correct feature (e.g. straight lines, rectangles, elipses etc like PhatPad) and ability to add simple typed text and symbols in the scribble.

Scribbles will be enhanced in the next version.

    6. In map view it would be nice if there is option for collapsing or uncollapsing each node (+ sign against each node that would expand it).

You already can collapse and uncollapse topics: just tap on the junction of a topic with its child topics to collapse it. A small arrow will be displayed to show the collapsed status. If you tap on the arrow, the child topics will be expanded.

    Best Regards,

    Jutta

Re: Marking a task as complete

    Hi,
Thanks for the reply. Regarding marking a task as complete one of the way to do so could be to use a double tap. Double tapping a task could mark the task's percentage as 100% thus checkbox will be marked. Alternatively tap and hold context menu could have a menu item 'Complete' that could mark the checkbox as checked OR maybe a sub-menu item with '0%', '25%', '50%', '75%', '100%' could provide a quicker option for setting desired percentage.

Re: Marking a task as complete

    Hello,

in fact there is another option (although it is only available in map view): There is a gesture to complete a task at once. Tap with the stylus on the checkbox of a task and drag the stylus diagonal to the upper right corner out of the checkbox (like the upward slash of a checkmark).

I hope the explanation was understandable.

Re: Converting an Item into a task

    Hi,
When an item is selected in the map view mode and toolbar is visible (clicking the double arrow icon enables the toolbar), clicking the task icon converts the selected item into a task. But when the same thing is tried in outline view then item is not converted into a task.
