    Add Multiple...

    Hi,
'Add Multiple...' is a very nice option that allows adding a hierarchy of items in the map. Using tab is a very fast and easy way to create items, sub-items and also add text note to the items.
e.g. (Note: press TAB key where it says TAB.)

Week TAB plans for this week
    TAB Sunday TAB Finally Sunday
    TAB Experiments TAB Cooking
TAB Family TAB Go for a game of bowling
TAB Monday TAB Work, Work, Work
    TAB Deliver lecture
    TAB Work on project

When a text such as this is tried in Add Multiple... it works nicely and fast to create a map.

It would be nice if an item could be selected and have an option such as 'View Multiple...' that would display the entire hierarchy in text format along with tabs. It will allow quick editing of items on the map.

Also if there is an option to add symbols right into that text view, e.g. [?] could assign question mark symbol [Y] could assign Yes symbol to the item etc, could be a nice luxury.

The idea behind it is providing fast entry. For an experienced user I think many will agree that typing [?] is faster as compared to selecting an item, tap & hold to go to symbol option and assign question mark symbol to that item. Besides many SIPs are providing text/macro expansion facility to speed up text entry and IMHO it can speed up jotting (or tapping) down a mindmap.

    Regards,

    Re: Add Multiple...

Hello, Thank you for your suggestions.

A "View Multiple" isn't without problems, because not all meta data (symbols, task status etc.) would be available in the text window and the tracking of the modifications would be difficult. The closest option is to use the outline view. You can edit the labels in place and drag and drop to reorder.

To quickly assign symbols to (new) topics you can use AutoSymbols (http://www.pocketmindmap.com/indoor/OriginaleEN/Support/Online%20Help/opt_autosymbols.asp). Just define "[?]*" for the question mark symbol.

Note: AutoSymbols will only processed for new topics. Also you can use the additional toolbar in the map view: Just tap on the smiley to open the symbol dialog. If a topic already has a symbol, just tap on the symbol to open the symbol dialog.

    Best Regards,

    Jutta
